Gators softball wins a thriller

Cue up Michael Jackson's "Thriller" in the background and use all the appropriate sports cliches and make up a few new ones and you may still come up short describing East Columbus’ 4–3, 11-inning 1A East softball third round playoff win over the Roxboro Community School Bulldogs Tuesday evening at “The Swamp.”

There is one cliche that does come to mind that is apropos. “Neither team deserved to lose.” However, in the playoffs one team must suffer the agony of defeat. For hundreds of Gators fans in attendance Tuesday they left happy it wasn't their favorite.
