Guardian ad Litem program

Guardian ad Litem program. Ever wondered what GAL is all about? Angela Tyler will explain what GAL is and how important it is in Columbus County. The free program will be held Sunday, March 26, at 3 p.m. The program equips community volunteers to serve abused and neglected children by advocating for their best interests in court. Tyler is a local volunteer for District 13, which includes Columbus County. The GAL works with the court and attorneys to provide the legal advocacy for the child’s wishes to be heard and to determine a safe and permanent plan for their wellbeing.
